Photo row prevents Meghan Markle from sending condolences to Kris Jenner?

Mary Jo "M.J." Shannon, grandmother of the Kardashian-Jenner family and a frequent guest on their U.S. reality television show, died on ‌Thursday at the age of 91.

Shannon was Kris Jenner's mother and grandmother to Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

More than three million people reacted and offered condolences when Kris Jenner shared news of her mother’s demise on Instagram.

"I’m so so sorry. Sending you all my love and prayer," wrote Lauren Sanchez Bezos in the comments.

Dakota Johnson's mother Melanie Griffith wrote, "Sending you so much love Kris. So sorry for your loss. MJ is now with the angels. God Bless.

James Charles and many other celebrities also send their condolences on social media.

However, Meghna Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, was nowhere to be seen among the people who reacted to or commented on Kris Jenner's loss. It's not known whether she approached Kris Jenner privately to offer her condolences.

Meghan, who returned to Instagram last year, secured followers like Kris Jenner, Zoe Saldana, Oprah Winfrey, Lauren Sánchez Bezos and many other celebrities.

Kris Jenner would always be the first to press the like button every time Meghan shared a post on Instagram, helping the Duchess of Sussex get wider reach on the social media platform.

However, things went south when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to Kris Jenner’s birthday where they posed for photos with Kim Kardashian and many others in attendance.

When the Kardashians shared the photos on Instagram, the royal couple thought the birthday party celebration coincided with a day honoring military veterans and they requested Jenner and her daughter to take their photos down.

Although they deleted the couple's photos, subsequent developments showed Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian were offended by Meghan and Harry's request.

Some observers believe most Hollywood celebrities have become cautious about engaging with Meghan Markle due to her knack for controversy since the photo debacle.
