Trump says the US could strike Iran's Pickaxe Mountain ‘relatively soon’
Trump claimed Iran was struggling to maintain its nuclear facilities following previous US attacks
US President Donald Trump has said the United States could launch strikes on Iran's Pickaxe Mountain "relatively soon", as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue over Iran's nuclear programme.
Speaking on The Hugh Hewitt Show on Monday, Trump claimed Iran was struggling to maintain its nuclear facilities following previous US attacks.
"They're not doing well with their nuclear situation. Every time we hear about it, we blow it up. So they don't like talking about it. But we'll probably give Pickaxe a shot relatively soon," Trump said on The Hugh Hewitt Show.
Pickaxe Mountain is widely believed to house an underground Iranian nuclear facility.
Trump also suggested more military action was imminent, saying the US planned further strikes over the coming days.
"We're going to hit them very hard tonight, and we're going to hit them hard tomorrow. And there's not a [expletive] thing they can do about it. They have nothing. They have nothing going [for them] other than they have big mouths," he said on The Hugh Hewitt Show.
He also accused Iran of failing to honour agreements and described the country as unreliable.
Before ending the interview, Trump issued another warning to Tehran.
"Tell the Iranians to be ready. Let them know we're coming," he said on The Hugh Hewitt Show.
