There's been a protest inside the Buckingham Palace Throne Room, calling for the royals to answer questions about the Andrew scandal, a statement issued by anti-monarchy group, Republic, said on Monday.

The statement issued on social media also accompanied a picture of two protesters holding a life size penaflex banner featuring King Charles and his younger brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

“Charles and William - what did you know,” asked the group in the caption mentioning the monarch and his heir.

The protesters bought regular tourist tickets before entering Buckingham Palace as normal visitors and making their way to the Throne Room.

According to sources, taking notice of the situation, security wardens asked the protesters to leave the palace.

The group has been protesting against the royal family over Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s links to Jeffrey Epstein.

Last year, King Charles stripped Mountbatten-Windsor of his remaining titles and expelled him from Royal Lodge in Windsor over his links to the late sex offender.
