Oliver Tree reveals unusual inheritance plan before tragic helicopter crash
Oliver Tree shared controversial will decision months before death
Months before Oliver Tree's tragic death, he said in an interview that his family won't inherit "a penny" from his wealth if he died.
The rapper, born Oliver Tree Nickell, who passed away in a devastating helicopter crash in Brazil on Sunday, made a pointed statement regarding his wealth being inherited by his family.
In a resurfaced clip from the April 25th episode of The Zach Sang Show, the Alien Boy singer confessed that he did not believe all the money he earned through his musical career belonged to him.
“So when I die — I’ve set it up — my will is set up that when I pass, my family, no one’s going to get a penny,” he said during the show.
Oliver also claimed at the time that even if he had a wife and kids, there would be no “silver spoon” for them and they had to work hard to get there.
He shared, “If I have a wife or kids or anything, [they’re] not getting a f****** penny. I’ll get my kids through college. That’s the agreement. But there’s not going to be a silver spoon. They’re taken care of because my dad worked on some stuff in the 2000s."
"The idea is, when I die, all the money is going to go back to artists," Oliver added.
Oliver's this interview is gaining attention since his passing on June 14 at the age of 32 after two helicopters collided in Rio de Janeiro.
