Travis Barker just got candid and refused to share some words of wisdom with his younger self in a recent interview.

On Saturday, June 13, the 50-year-old American musician and songwriter attended the Tribeca Festival world premiere of his forthcoming Hulu documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.

At the event, PEOPLE magazine caught him for an interview and asked Barker about one piece of advice he would love to give his younger self, but what stunned everyone there was Barker’s response.

He clearly told the outlet, "I wouldn't have listened,” adding that he cannot show enough gratitude for his amazing journey in the music industry despite facing crushing hardships.

The One More Time crooner stated, "The only way to learn is to live through it. Even the way I got sober. I got sober in a burn center, sitting there for six months, because I was so stubborn. I'm relentless in a lot of good ways and back in the day I was relentless in a lot of bad ways.”

“I wouldn't have learned anything without the lessons. So I'm just happy with the way everything turned out,” Barker confessed.

For those unaware, Louder Than Fear showcases his personal struggles, such as the consequences of his private plane crash in 2008 and his rise to stardom.

As per the documentary’s official synopsis, "This is the story of the man behind the tattoos. A tribute to those who keep going when the music almost stops.”

It is pertinent to mention that Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear will be released on Hulu and Disney+ on August 13, 2026.
