For Timothee Chalamet, the Knicks' historical win is better than winning an Oscar.

​On Saturday, the Wonka actor's hometown basketball team, the New York Knicks, broke the curse and became the NBA champions after fifty-three years.

​The born-and-bred New Yorker was fully present in the court to support Knicks' during Final Games.

​And when the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs joined the crowd and stormed the court to celebrate the epic win.

​He was seen hugging Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, and told ESPN's SportsCenter that he'd "way rather this than the Oscars.”

Chalamet also joined the team celebration in the locker room and was spotted with captain and NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson.

​The 30-year-old actor told Brunson after they hugged each other, "You did that bro. That was all you!"

​Chalamet was also seen getting soaked in champagne as the Knicks' celebration went on.

​He was also seen wildly hugging actress Teyana Taylor at the court side.

​The Oscar reference is a pointed take after the Marty Supreme star was not crowned the Best Actor award after getting nominated for the second year in a row.

​As Game 5 was a celebrity affair, with the royal appearance of Prince Harry, A lister were seen commemorating the win not only at the court but also at home.

​Jennifer Lopez, who watched the Knicks vs Spurs at home, posted her video as she wildly celebrated the victory and paid a tribute to her hometown team.

​The Office Romance actress penned, "Congratulations to the New York Knickerbockers, NBA Champions! We have all been waiting patiently. Thank you for uniting our city again."
