Lee Andrews bravely asks wife Katie Price for huge favour in prison release matter

Lee Andrews has reportedly asked his wife Katie Price to set up a GoFundMe page to help raise the reported £140,000 needed for his release from prison in Dubai.

Andrews, who is currently being held at Al Awir Central Prison, was detained last month over what has been described as a private civil matter. Reports later claimed he also faces another property-related case in the UAE.

Price says Andrews suggested raising money publicly for his release, but she quickly rejected the idea. She said she would “never” give a man money and insisted she has always been the main earner in her relationships.

The also claimed Andrews could be released as early as next week, although she admitted there is still uncertainty surrounding the situation.

Price travelled to Dubai recently in an attempt to help her husband and said she plans to have serious conversations with him once they meet face-to-face. She added that if she does not receive honest answers from him, the marriage could be over.

The relationship has faced heavy scrutiny since the pair married in January just days after meeting. Andrews has been accused by former partners of dishonest behaviour and financial misconduct, allegations he denies.

One of his exes, Dina Taji, reportedly warned Price about him during a recent face-to-face meeting in Dubai. Price later admitted the conversation had “opened” her eyes and left her questioning the future of the marriage.

Andrews had previously claimed he was kidnapped and accused of espionage after disappearing for two weeks, before it later emerged he was being held in prison and had reportedly been under a travel ban in the UAE.
