Meghan Markle, Harry 'furious' at royal family's Frogmore Cottage plans
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s formal eviction from Frogmore Cottage would never have occurred while Queen Elizabeth was alive
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly ‘furious’ as the royal family's renovations plans for Frogmore Cottage, their former residence in UK, have been revealed.
The Sun recently reported that plans are in motion to reverse the roughly $3 million in renovations Harry and Meghan made to Frogmore Cottage.
The insider told the publication, "It's been empty for three years. Even [former Prince] Andrew thought it wasn't good enough for him to move in. Maybe if they get rid of any trace of Harry and Meghan, then someone within the royal household will fancy it.”
“It would draw the line under Frogmore Cottage's controversial history and return it to the pre-Meghan and Harry era," the source added.
Now, a royal expert has revealed Meghan and Harry’s reaction to the plans.
Royal expert Tom Sykes, citing the insiders close to Harry and Meghan, has claimed “they are furious.”
The expert continued Meghan and Harry’s formal eviction in 2023 would never have occurred while the Queen was alive.
Sykes said, “What the Sussex side are telling me now is that King Charles waited until after the Queen had died to kick Harry out.
“And they say that the Queen would have blocked it because it was her wedding gift to them.”
However, it is not clear if King Charles is personally driving the decisions here, but those choices could still signal what the institution has decided about its future.
