Women in aviation take center stage at Midlands Air Festival
Thousands of people flocked to Ragley Hall in Alcester for the three-day event last year
The Midlands Air Festival held annually at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire has increasingly become a platform to champion the women in Aviation movement. Hot-air balloons and planes are all in line to take to the skies as the festival returns this weekend.
Meanwhile the event will feature more than 100 giant hot-air balloons for passionate individuals. A collection of multicoloured hot-air balloons will be available as a collection of character balloons. It has been observed that a large number of people flocked to Ragley Hall in Alcester for the three-day event.
According to organizers, the event will continue from Friday to Sunday, including the highlights of the cold war MG 17F fighter jet from Poland and a French fire bomber which will be reportedly dropping more than 3,000 litres of water in just four seconds.
Notably, organizers' core objective is to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and celebrate all women making their names in aviation.
The gates will open at 11:30 on Friday with a stunning hot-air balloon fleet along with a balloon night sky illumination at 21:50.
On the other hand, Saturday’s highlights include an early balloon launch at 06:00 succeeded by a bipartite flying demonstration, and one starting at 12:15, and another begins at 16:05.
Furthermore, more air displays and static displays are planned for Sunday before the event closes at 21:00.
