Kelly Clarkson in tears over end of hit talk show

Kelly Clarkson is set to end her hit, long-running daytime talk show this year.

However, emotions are already at fever pitch ahead of her farewell.

On her latest show, Rita Wilson was featured as a guest.

The actress, in turn, delivered an emotional tribute, which led Clarkson to break down in tears.

"I just want to say one thing before we go," the 1883 star said. 

"I want to thank you for the years that you've been doing your show." 

"I want to thank you for literally changing the game when it came to daytime television," Wilson noted.

Tom Hanks' wife did not stop there.

She continued, "The fact that you love music, that you have brought so much music to daytime." 

"That you have shared with us your voice, your gifts, and everyone else's and your incredible band."

Following the touching tribute, Clarkson was visibly emotional.

Though fighting back tears, the host joked, "I'm not crying," before saying, "That's so nice."

The heartfelt moment comes as Clarkson is set to end The Kelly Clarkson Show after running for seven seasons.
