Jamahl Mosley joins New Orleans Pelicans but NBA fans are divided
Jamahl Mosley arrived at the New Orleans Pelicans from the Orlando Magic
Jamahl Mosley is reportedly tapped by the New Orleans Pelicans for the head coach post for a five-year contract.
He was previously coaching the Orlando Magic.
ESPN first reported this.
Mosley will be replacing Willie Green, who was fired by the Pelicans over a terrible 2-10 last season.
In contrast, Mosley had an impressive run with the Orlando Magic.
He guided the team to three straight playoffs.
Still, he was dumped by Magic, making him the hot name in the market.
And the Pelicans pounced on the opportunity as its executives were in close contact with Mosley after the firing.
NBA fans are divided over Jamahl Mosley
"Pelicans add one of the brightest coaching minds in the league," one social media user writes.
Another adds, "Mosley brings playoff credibility."
However, some are not impressed by Pelicans' decision.
"This hire proves the Pelicans' front office is content with mediocrity, captured by Mosley’s lacklustre record. How is this a step forward?"
