Kai Trump 'college plea' claims follow last name interview
Kai Trump shares how she is disliked by people for being granddaughter of President Donald Trump
Kai Trump's August 2024 Instagram post has gained renewed attention after she recently asked people not to judge her by her last name.
During an appearance on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast in January, she conceded that half the world dislikes her because she is the granddaughter of US President Donald Trump.
Speaking on the podcast, the 18-year-old social media personality, who is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr., said:
“I mean, 50% of the world doesn't like me because of my last name, but they don't actually know me. So I'm hoping if people actually give me a shot and not look at the last name, then I won’t have any ops”.
Kai Trump also shared how strangers approach her to criticize her grandfather, despite the fact that she has largely stayed out of politics while pursuing a golf career.
Meanwhile, Kai Trump is set to play golf at the University of Miami starting fall 2026. She announced her verbal commitment in an Instagram post on August 18, 2024, writing she was "beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami."
However, Kai Trump's remarks about her last name and her social media announcement regarding her commitment to the University of Miami were two separate things, unlike how some media outlets presented them.
While in her podcast appearance she made a plea asking people not to judge her by her last name, there was no college plea at all from her.
