Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy comes at much-needed moment after family struggles
Expert says Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy comes as ‘happy news’ for York family
Princess Eugenie’s pregnancy announcement has been seen as a happy moment for the York family after a difficult period filled with controversy over her parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
The princess confirmed on Monday that she is expecting her third child with husband Jack Brooksbank, while Buckingham Palace said King Charles was “delighted” by the news.
Royal expert Jennie Bond said royal babies always bring joy and positivity, especially after the “strains” the family has faced over the past year.
She also said the King’s warm response shows he still cares deeply for his nieces despite the scandals linked to their parents.
Speaking with The Mirror, she said, “Royal babies are always happy events — who doesn’t love the innocence of a new life, devoid of any scandal or controversy?
“So I think most rational people will be wishing Eugenie well — especially after the strains of the past year or so.
“And the King has made it known that he is delighted, supporting the view that he remains fond of his nieces despite the scandals engulfing their parents.”
