Prince William, the Prince of Wales shared a heartfelt tribute to mark 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough.

On behalf of the future King, Kensington Palace dropped a special photo of William and Sir David.

The photo showed the legendary broadcaster and natural historian sharing a light-hearted moment with William, as they two can be seen smiling and laughing.

The caption of the post simply read: "Happy 100th birthday, Sir David."

Royal fans poured their love in the comments section, with one writing, "A legend of our lifetime."

Another added, "Lovely photo! Happy Birthday to Sir @davidattenborough. Thank you for your wonderful work over all these years."

"Happy Birthday Sir David Attenborough what an amazing person he is," the third comment read.

For those unaware, Sir David Attenborough, born May 8th, 1926 in United Kingdom, has released a number of books including A Life on Our Planet, Life on Air: Memoirs of a Broadcaster, Journeys to the Other Side of the World, Adventures of a Young Naturalist. He is an English broadcaster, natural historian, conservationist, writer, producer and narrator.

Ahead of Prince William, Buckingham palace also honoured Sir David via official Instagram handle of the royal family.

Sharing photos of Sir David, the post read: "Wishing Sir David Attenborough a very happy 100th birthday. Enjoy your special celebration this evening! [followed by a collection of animal emojis]."
