William and Kate were joined by senior royals including Zara Tindall, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.

For the outdoor event, the royal couple arrived through the huge doors of the palace and signaled the formal start of the celebration.

Making sure to dress up for the occasion, the Princess of Wales sported white jacket with polka dot skirt, topping with black and white vintage hat. Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales also coordinated with his top hat on suit.

Prince William and Kate Middleton mingled with guests from across the UK and the world, rewarding those who contributed to the communities positively and were members of the diplomatic services.

It is pertinent to mention that Garden Parties have been held at Buckingham palace since 1860s. It is a perfect way for the monarch to recognize public service. The members of the royal family and guests are treated to tea and cakes at the party.
