Buckingham Palace celebrates Sir David Attenborough as he turns 100

Sir David Attenborough just marked 100 years earth side and on his special day, Buckingham Palace, known for their own approach to environmental conservation have just wished him on his special day.

The note that accompanied this note reads, “Wishing Sir David Attenborough a very happy 100th birthday. Enjoy your special celebration this evening! [followed by a collection of animal emojis]”.

But that is not all because they also reminded the public to tune into ‘David Attenborough's 100 Years on Planet Earth’ at 8.30pm on BBC One on the same post.

Who is David Attenborough?

For those unversed with the life and legacy of Sir David Attenborough, he is an English broadcaster, natural historian, conservationist, writer, producer and narrator, born May 8th, 1926 in Isleworth, United Kingdom.

In his tenure for environmental preservation he’s released a number of books, including but not limited to A Life on Our Planet, Life on Air: Memoirs of a Broadcaster, Journeys to the Other Side of the World, Adventures of a Young Naturalist, and classics like Life on Earth, The Living Planet: A Portrait of the Earth, The Trials of Life: A Natural History of Animal Behaviour, The Private Life of Plants, The Life of Birds, The Life of Mammals, Life in the Undergrowth and also Life in Cold Blood etc.
