King Charles accused of shielding Andrew as Sarah Ferguson struggles
Sarah Ferguson ‘hurt’ after losing Royal Lodge while former Prince Andrew stays protected
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly feeling frustrated with King Charles as she believes the royal family protected ex-Prince Andrew while she was left to deal with public backlash.
According to insiders, the former Duchess of York felt abandoned after she and Andrew were asked to leave Royal Lodge amid ongoing controversy linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Speaking with a US-based entertainment site, an insider said that Fergie believed her years of standing by Andrew would ensure long-term support from both him and the monarchy.
However, her friends noted that Ferguson now feels resentful, believing Andrew remained sheltered by royal family while she was not.
"Sarah genuinely thought there was an understanding between them that, despite everything, they would continue protecting one another privately as they always had after the divorce,” the source said.
“Instead, she feels she was left carrying much of the emotional and social damage alone while Andrew quietly disappeared back under royal protection."
"Sarah feels Andrew did not do enough to help her once they lost Royal Lodge. From her perspective, she sacrificed years of her life defending him publicly and privately, only to end up effectively sofa-surfing while he remains protected by royal structures."
