Why Britney Spears' pals are convinced she 'would not survive prison'
The 'Toxic' hitmaker is out of rehab, but sources say the real crisis is only just beginning
Britney Spears has returned home after completing a three-week rehab stint, but sources say her real crisis is just beginning.
The pop sensation looked relaxed and calm in her first public sighting since leaving treatment, riding in the passenger seat of a G-Wagon.
But now sources tell Naughty But Nice that Britney is aware she has been charged with DUI, and her close friends say the fear has left her shaken.
“Britney is terrified,” one insider says. “She knows what she is facing now, and she is far more vulnerable than people realize.”
“Britney would not survive jail,” the insider adds. “That is the fear everyone around her is carrying right now. She is too fragile, too emotionally exposed, and too vulnerable to withstand that kind of confinement.”
Another insider claims that the Toxic hitmaker "will not survive prison.”
“This is bigger than a legal case,” the confidant says. “Britney is emotionally raw. The fear is not just jail — the fear is what jail would do to her. It would break her.”
“The real fear is simple,” the source adds. “Britney will not survive prison.”
The 44-year-old singer was officially charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) on April 30, two months after her arrest.
If found guilty, she could face up to 12 months of probation.
