Lorna Hajdini, a senior executive director at JPMorgan, is facing a lawsuit filed by a male employee in which she was accused of sexual harassment and racial abuse.

JPMorgan Chase & Co has defended the lawsuit, claiming the allegations are false and were fabricated by the former employee, identified as Chirayu Rana.

Initially the lawsuit was filed under a pseudonym “John Doe”, alleging that Hajdini was involved in various overt and covert unsettling tactics, including racial slurring, sexual coercion, and drugging the staffer.

However, soon after the lawsuit was filed, JPMorgan initiated an internal investigation to reveal the truth. During an internal investigation, the company vetted phone records and emails of all employees. But they did not find any evidence to corroborate Rana’s allegations.

Having been stood firmly by Hajdini, a spokesperson issued a post-investigation statement, stating, “Following an investigation, we don’t believe there’s any merit to these claims.”

“While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”

According to the New York Post, Rana was not even working under Hajdini as the lawsuit alleged. In fact, they were just colleagues working on the finance team.

“He has tarnished her with a complete fabrication,” one of the sources close to Hajdini told The New York Post.

Although Hajdini has not yet provided any statement related to these allegations, her lawyers offered a rebuttal of these claims.

They even noted she has “never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place.”

Initially, the court documents were withdrawn for correction, but the company seeks damages for tarnishing reputation that took a heavy toll on its earnings.
