Sony reveals PS Plus May 2026 free games line-up

Sony's May 2026 PlayStation Plus drop is rare in one specific way: it genuinely targets three completely different types of players at once. Whether you live inside football sims, crave punishing combat, or want a stylish action-platformer, this month's Essential tier has something aimed directly at you.

EA Sports FC 26 launches as the upcoming entry of EA's new football franchise following their previous FIFA soccer games. The subscription service provides access to more than 20000 players together with 750 clubs and national teams and 120 stadiums and 35 leagues while offering an updated Rivals and Champs experience.

PS Plus members can also claim a free EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack throughout the month, adding some cosmetic value on top of the base game.

Sony PS Plus May 2026 games 

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike game which takes place during the last period of China's Ming Dynasty, is available to PS5 owners. Players control Wuchang, a pirate warrior who uses different combat techniques and concealed weapons and historical guns while using the primary system which operates through Feathering powers.

The game arrived under complicated circumstances its original development studio was disbanded before Digital Bros acquired the IP but the finished product stands on its own as a serious action offering.

The Sekiro-based action-platformer Nine Sols delivers its combat experience through deflection-based systems and its enemies through ruthless boss encounters which fans describe as "Soulsvania." The objective requires players to defeat all nine of the Sols which serve as main villains in the game.

Nine Sols has gained recognition for its most difficult boss encounters which test skilled players in the Metroidvania genre.

All three games become available on May 5. Subscribers can still access the current library, which includes Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream until May 4 because they need to claim these before the upcoming library change. EA Sports FC 26 and Nine Sols are available on both PS4 and PS5 while Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is PS5-only.
