Kate Middleton’s parenting rules she’s ‘drummed’ into George, Charlotte, Louis: Expert

Prince William and Kate Middleton, mother to Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8, is very well known for prioritizing her children, even above the monarchy at times and with today being her 15th wedding anniversary, some of her non negotiables as a mother-of-three have been brought to light by royal biographer Robert Jobson.

He revealed some of the things the Wales’ do to ensure normalcy in their home, while speaking to Womans’ Day.

“Preparation is a mantra she has lived by. Her parents, Mike and Carole Middleton, taught her that,” he started by saying. “Preparedness and politeness matter to her – something she has drummed into her own children.”

Another thing the princess has encorporated into her own life and makes a point to introduce to her royal kids is to cut ‘winging it’ form her vocabulary because when she first joined the Firm its well known that she had to cope with paparazzi and gossip columnists. “Over time, she grew in confidence – her public speaking improved,” Mr Jobson noted. “Now she always prepares, always bringing her A game to the table” and “she has impressed the importance of this upon her children, not in an overbearing way, but steadily when it is needed.”

“These are basics, but so important for their future roles,” and “thank-you notes are another exercise they complete,” he also said.

Another expert also weighed in about the same, and this time around it was Mr Duncan Larcombe. In his observation much of the techniques she uses are those absorbed form her own childhood because “the children’s upbringing has been based on the Middleton model – three children, affluent but hard-working parents and lots of love in the house.”
