King Charles is reportedly choosing to stay silent in response to Sarah Ferguson’s repeated attempts to have a one-on-one conversation with her.

According to a US-based entertainment site, the King does not want to get involved in any other drama over the former Duchess of York amid ongoing scrutiny over her and former Prince Andrew's past ties with Jeffrey Epstein.

They said the monarch fears what he says to Fergie in private would become public knowledge if she decides to leak it.

Ferguson is said to be exploring major media deals, including a possible TV documentary and a future book, which has made the royals even more cautious.

“At this point she’s become totally radioactive. No one wants to go anywhere near her. She seems totally oblivious to this and keeps reaching out and trying to force some kind of response. It’s testing everyone’s patience,” they said.

“There’s a real fear that anything said could be used against them, whether that’s in her book down the line or even in some sort of legal situation.

“The royals have no doubt that Sarah will eventually sit down on TV and give her side of the story, or go ahead with her memoir.

“So the last thing they’re willing to do ahead of that is provide her with extra talking points. All of this gives them even more reason to stay well clear of her but she’s not getting the message.”
