King Charles will not meet Prince Harry during his ongoing US visit, with reports suggesting the decision was taken because of Duke of Sussex’s recent remarks.

The monarch, who is in the US with Queen Camilla for a high-profile state trip, is focused on strengthening ties with Donald Trump’s administration.

According to insiders, the Duke’s recent public remarks on global politics, which also included calls for stronger US leadership on the Ukraine conflict, have added complexity to an already delicate issue.

The source noted that such remarks could blur the line between personal views and the monarchy’s apolitical stance.

"Comments of this nature, even when driven by genuine concern, inevitably create complications for the monarchy – especially when they intersect so directly with US leadership at a time when the King is undertaking a formal state visit,” the insider told Radar Online.

They added, "There is a careful balance that has to be maintained between personal expression and diplomatic neutrality, and moments like this can make that balance harder to sustain."

"The King's program in the United States has been meticulously planned with a clear focus on statecraft, international relations, and reinforcing strategic ties.

“It is a tightly managed schedule where every engagement carries significance, and introducing personal or family considerations into that framework risks diverting attention from the core objectives of the visit and potentially undermining its broader diplomatic impact."
