The major blunder almost overshadowed the arrival of King Charles and Queen Camilla in the United States!

It has been reported that Australian flags were mistakenly displayed in Washington DC ahead of the royal visit. The error, which was spotted along route near the White House, showed the Australian flags flying alongside the American Stars and Stripes instead of the United Kingdom's Union Jack.

However, the mix-up was quickly identified and corrected by authorities, who replaced the flags before the royal couple's official arrival.

Furthermore, officials also confirmed that the mistake was limited to one area and promptly resolved.

ABC News reporter James Longman also posted a video about the blunder on Instagram, saying, "For about two hours, they put the Australian flag up alongside the Stars and Stripes. ... I think they realized their mistake, and they've replaced them now with the Union Jack."

Despite the blunder, the state visit remains significant diplomatic moment. The four-day tour of King Charles and Queen Camilla marks the 250th anniversary of American independence and is seen as an opportunity to reinforce ties between the US and the UK.

Now, Buckingham palace has unveiled that the King and Queen have arrived in Washington, beginning their state visit.
