Thomas Markle breaks silence about Meghan Markle once again

Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle has been in the media for a number of reasons, whether that be on the days following her wedding, which he missed due to health reasons, or because of his continued interviews to the media, or subsequent requests for a relationship with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. But more recently, it was because of his leg amputation.

Now, after one other chat with the media, a royal author has come forward with insights into what the Duchess of Sussexes’ aspirations have been, coming straight from her father of 44 years.

The author in question is royal commentator Tom Bower and he shared everything on The Daily Expresso podcast, even going as far as to say, “Her (Meghan’s) father, who is a good man and she’s treated appallingly, told me of this instance when she was 5 years old.

As for the story, he recalled Mr Markle going down memory lane to his time as a lighting director and saying, “he was a very successful lighting director in Hollywood and he took her down the red carpet on some opening night.”

“And she said ‘Daddy I want to do this, I want to be the star’. And that was it, she wanted to be the star. She then became the star by getting married to Harry, a global star, but instead of being happy with that and taking the terms, she was determined that everything had to be on her terms.”

For those unversed, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met back in 2016, and it began as a result of a blind date that quickly transformed into a quick turning romance that ended with their marriage barely two years later.

Its said their first date was around July of 2016. At the time they met for drinks in London, and due to their ‘immediate spark’ they met again the very next day according to People.

In regards to the secrecy, its said the pair kept their relationship under wraps for the whole time that she was filming Suits. But only a few months after their relationship became public.

A few months after that the media’s “abuse and harassment” of Meghan even led Prince Harry towards issuing a statement in her defense, and a year after that Prince Harry is said to have proposed, with their wedding date being May 19, 2018.
