Ever since King Charles was diagnosed with cancer many started to say his reign has an expiration date, and it came even before he took his seat on the throne at all. Even an expert like Dan Wootton was asked about the possibility of this over on his YouTube Channel Dan Wootton Outspoken.

He was quick to answer this audience question in as few words as possible.

He began by saying, “you might be surprised by my answer here, but I'm again going to tell it very straight to you. No, they are not and they don't want to be King and Queen yet. That was not in the plan.”

According to the expert the hope right now is that the King's treatment for his terminal cancer is working out as best as possible because it allows Catherine and William the opportunity to have a little bit more time.”

“Now, that's not to say that they don't hope that they can take the throne at an age before, for example, King Charles took the throne because William absolutely does believe in his modernization project and knows that if he's doing that as a monarch in his 60s or 70s, it is much more difficult,” he made sure to clarify too.

However, Mr Wootton believes “he hoped to see the children through their schooling before became King and before Catherine became Queen. And of course, we're not even close to that yet.”

Only after putting it all out there did he go more into detail and said, “that would be the ideal situation because then once they took the throne and once there was much more pressure on that family, all of the children would be close to adults or actually an adult.

Before concluding he also says, “William in particular, because he grew up in such a broken home, unlike Catherine who grew up in such a happy home, prioritizes that family so hard. And he just would like the time.”
