Meghan Markle accused of exploiting victims to push fashion sales
Meghan Markle slammed over claims she profited from visits to sick children and terror victims
Meghan Markle has been accused of exploiting vulnerable victims and seriously ill children to promote her fashion picks for profit during her recent visit to Australia with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex faced scathing criticism after appearing at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital and later meeting survivors of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
Speaking on TalkTV, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield alleged the moments were quickly turned into opportunities to market the outfits Meghan wore.
She told Kevin O'Sullivan that Meghan’s clothing from the appearances appeared on the fashion discovery platform OneOff shortly after the meetings, where she now serves as an investor and featured curator.
Blasting Harry’s wife as “vile,” she argued that Meghan was effectively using high-profile encounters with terror victims and terminally ill children to sell clothes.
"Meghan clutched the hands of the Bondi Beach victims, and within minutes, those outfits were available on this app,” she said.
The expert added, “She's using these victims and ill children to sell her clothing for a commission.
"I look at that, and I think that Queen Elizabeth is doing a cartwheel in her tomb. There's no way in hell she would've approved of something like that; she would've been disgusted by it."
