Meghan Markle’s outfits reflected wider plan during Australia trip: Insider
Meghan Markle’s fashion choices part of wider image strategy during Australia visit
Meghan Markle reportedly put careful thought into her wardrobe during her recent Australia trip with Prince Harry.
According to sources, the Duchess of Sussex’s fashion choices were part of a broader effort to shape how the couple were perceived.
Meghan appeared in outfits from several Australian designers while attending events that included a children’s hospital visit, a stop at a women’s shelter and meetings with veterans and charity groups.
Speaking with an entertainment outlet, the insider said that Meghan worked closely with advisers ahead of the trip to plan details ranging from clothing to public presentation.
“Meghan’s battling this reputation as a diva, so she spent a fortune on image consultants to make sure she wasn’t perceived that way on this trip,” the source said.
They added, “They had been locked in talks for weeks fine-tuning every detail, from fashion choices to how they present themselves.”
Meghan was also accused of using late Princess Diana’s legacy to boost the tour after she was spotted wearing a watch that once belonged to Diana.
She was seen with the gold Cartier Tank Française watch while attending events alongside Harry.
