Real reason behind Sarah Ferguson stepping back from public eye revealed
A family member reveals why Sarah Ferguson has been staying out of spotlight
A family member has revealed the real reason why Sarah Ferguson stepped down from public eye after losing her royal honours and residence.
The former Duchess of York has kept a low profile to protect her family from the scrutiny over her past links with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Her cousin-by-marriage Martin Barrantes said Fergie has chosen to stay away from the spotlight as she focuses on her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and their young children.
"I have spoken to her [and] can tell you that she just wants to protect her children and her grandchildren," he told Daily Mail.
He added, "Sarah is going through a difficult moment, and I wanted to send her our support; she is a valued member of our family.”
Martin further shared that Fergie seemed to be in "good spirits" amid the ongoing scandal,” adding, "What people need to remember is that the real villain in all this is Epstein.”
"Sarah was perhaps foolish to trust him and take such confidence from him, and I am sure she regrets that now."
This comes a source revealed that Beatrice and Eugenie have been trying to "stay away" from Epstein controversy.
They said that the sisters “have young children, and this is their grandfather — their focus is on protecting their own children from this," referring to Andrew’s links to Epstein.
