Sarah Ferguson risks deeper reputation damage with BBC Newsnight interview
Sarah Ferguson told to steer clear of BBC Newsnight interview amid Jeffrey Epstein links
Sarah Ferguson has reportedly turned down an offer to appear on BBC Newsnight with experts claiming that it is the right move.
According to a brand and cultural expert Nick Ede, doing the interview may not be a good idea for the Duchess of York and could damage her reputation further.
He told The Express that Fergie, who was seen in public this week for the first time in seven months, would likely face tough questions about her relationship with her ex-husband Andrew in case she chooses to do the interview.
“Fergie being offered a newsnight mega interview may sound like a good idea, to appear on a credible news programme,” he told the publication.
The expert added, “It’s the same show that highlighted her ex-husband's relationship with Epstein, and no matter how many times you prepare for questioning she will be put in a position where she will have to be honest about her relationship.
“She will be constantly compared to Andrew’s car crash moment. Her image is in tatters but it could suffer even more if she did a big interview like this.”
