Kid Rock's controversy resurfaces after viral helicopter video triggers probe
Kid Rock's latest headline-grabbing stunt was not his first, as his past actions show
Kid Rock pulled a stunt that hardly anyone expected. Two Apache helicopters are flying overhead his Tennessee mansion; a video shows him saluting them.
It sparked a full-blown storm, sparking a probe by the U.S. Army while stating the AH-64s were on a routine training flight near his hilltop estate.
"An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements," Army spokesman Maj Montrell Russell said. "Appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found."
But this is not the first time Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, has found himself in hot water.
In 2023, his critics say he pulled another stunt. In a video, he was seen emptying rifle rounds on Bud Light beer cases.
The reason: the brand, at the time, joined forces with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender influencer.
The clip lit up social media, sparking a bitter divide among internet users: some defended the rocker's actions, while others heaped scorn on him.
Kid Rock's critics allege he cannot stay out of trouble, claiming the musician leaned hard into controversy and pulled out a headline-grabbing stunt for relevance.
However, there is no solid indication to believe in this assessment.
