'Heated Rivalry' creator shares exciting update about season 2
'Heated Rivalry' season 1 was released on HBO Max on November 28
Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney has shared a major update about the upcoming season.
In a new interview with Variety, the Canadian director revealed that the filming for the second installment of the sports show will kick off this summer.
“I’m in a room all day writing,” Jacob told the outing. “We’re still on track."
Jacob is making every effort to concentrate on his work.
“I think I realized a little while ago that what I have to do is go back to where my head was at the first time I wrote, which was love these books and try to make the smartest thing I can make of it," the director said.
For those unversed, the first season of Heated Rivalry was released on HBO Max on November 28, 2025. The six-episode-based series is a blend of suspense, sports drama, and an LGBTQ+ love story.
The plot of Heated Rivalry centers on hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, who fall in love while competing.
Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams played lead roles in the series.
