Britney Spears’ ex Jason Allen Alexander issues 'reckless' statement amid her DUI arrest?
Britney Spears' ex-husband Jason Allen Alexander releases shocking statement after her DUI arrest
Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Jason Allen Alexander, has broken his silence after she was arrested for DUI.
The Princess of Pop has been detained near her residence in Ventura County, Southern California on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
On Wednesday, March 4, officers from the California Highway Patrol arrested Spears at around 9:28 pm local time, reported by The Hollywood Reporter after reviewing jail records.
Following investigation, she was booked into a local jail at around 3:02 am. However, no official statement has yet been released by the authority regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A day after her detention, the Circus songstress’s ex-husband Alexander took to his social media account and requested everyone to “slow down” while sharing their two cents on his former wife’s recent apprehension.
He wrote, “If reports are accurate that she blew a .06, that’s below the legal limit in most states. And if the only substances in her system were legally prescribed medications, that changes the narrative completely.”
“At most, what’s being discussed right now could potentially amount to minor misdemeanor charges — things like reckless driving or simple possession if a substance was found in the car,” Alexander stated.
He went on to warn people that rumours and misinformation could “spiral out of control” because “rumors spread faster than facts, and suddenly someone is being judged before the truth is even clear.”
“Britney Spears deserves the same thing anyone else does: facts, fairness, and due process — not headlines built on speculation,” the Gimme More crooner’s former partner wrote.
It is important to note that Britney Spears tied the knot with Allen Alexander for just 55 hours in January 2024 when she was under the influence.
