British MPs pass a motion due to Andrew: ‘Lets remove the bandages from our mouths

Via his past actions it seems future members of the Royal Family, especially Kings may not be safe from security and from being discussed in Parliament moving forward, as revealed by British MPs, who are calling for a change to the law that forbids anyone from reflecting “upon the conduct of the Sovereign, the heir to the throne, or other members of the royal family” in government.

This motion in particular has even been passed as of Tuesday, and it talks about the end of the tradition of “negative privilege” that members of the Royal Family have enjoyed for years.

The MP in question is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Ed Davey, and he shared this with the House of Commons when saying, “Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor shamed our country and the Royal family. “But for too long members of Parliament were barred from even raising criticism of him, let alone properly scrutinizing his role as trade envoy.”

Hence it is time “to remove the bandages from our mouths,” he said regarding all the accusations that are currently floating from back when Andrew was actually working as Trade Envoy.

What is pertinent to mention regarding this change is that Mr Davey was one of the people who previously supported Andrew in office, and this was back when he was a cabinet minister. But now claims, “I set out the government’s position as it had been for a decade in support of the prince’s role as the trade envoy.”

“Looking back, and knowing what we all know now, I’m horrified by it. I can’t imagine what it must have been like for the survivors and their families to hear Andrew praised like that.”

He’s also added according to The Globe and Mail, “the willful blindness of far too many at that time was absolutely spectacular and it still angers me. The then prime minister, the then home secretary, and many others in government, defended Andrew time and time and time again. I was repeatedly told off.”

He also revealed something astonishing during his speech and it was about whether there was any inkling beforehand about the consequences of giving Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor space in Office.

In his own words hes said, “It is all very well for some of us to say, ‘If only we had known then what we know now’. But I’m afraid that with me that doesn’t wash. We did actually have plenty of warning.”
