Hilary Duff becomes first to mourn 'Lizzie McGuire' costar Robert Carradine's sudden death
Hilary Duff pays moving tribute to her 'Lizzie McGuire' co-star Robert Carradine after his death
After the death of Robert Carradine at 71, condolences have started to pour in, and Hilary Duff is one of the first celebrities to mourn his sudden demise.
For those unaware, Carradine passed away after battling with bipolar disorder for more than 20 years on February 23, 2026.
Duff took to her social media and penned an emotional note for her Lizzie McGuire co-star along with an old picture.
She played the role of Elizabeth “Lizzie” McGuire, while Carradine appeared as her father, Sam McGuire, in the American comedy television series created by Terri Minsky that premiered on Disney Channel from January 12, 2001 to February 14, 2004.
She began, "This one hurts. It’s really hard to face this reality about an old friend. There was so much warmth in the McGuire family, and I always felt so cared for by my on-screen parents.”
“I’ll be forever grateful for that. I’m deeply sad to learn Bobby was suffering. My heart aches for him , his family, and everyone who loved him,” the Disney star concluded with a broken heart emoji.
It is pertinent to mention that the news of Carradine’s passing was shared by his brother, Keith Carradine.
