Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandal puts new pressure on King Charles and Prince William
“Disgraced” Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has created a fresh headache for King Charles and Prince William, new reported has revealed.
The monarch and the Prince of Wales are under new pressure after it was revealed that parts of official records about Andrew’s overseas trips were removed before being released to the public.
According to The Express, key details were censored from the documents, recently handed to the National Archives, regarding Andrew’s work as a trade envoy in the mid-2000s.
Speaking on the issue, royal expert Rupert Bell called out the royal family, urging Charles and William to review royal finances.
He said Charles and William should make sure everything is being handled within the law, adding that the Royal family should not be treated differently from others.
King Charles and William should "look at the royal finances" to make sure the firm are "behaving within the confines of the law,” he said.
"Royal Family should not be above the law,” the expert added.
Meanwhile, royal expert claimed that Andrew and Epstein controversy is one of the worst issues the monarchy has ever faced.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, royal experts Simon Viger, Ailsa Anderson discussed how the former Duke of York’s antics have made it one of the most damaging periods in recent royal history.
“I think it’s number one. I think it’s got the top billing because this story has been here for 15 years,” said Anderson.
To this, Viger said, “The payoff of millions of pounds to a woman he says he’s never met, and it’s dragged on for so long."
“It’s an existential threat to the monarchy, when you have something that disgraceful so close to the crown.”
