Kim Kardashian under fire for giving unexpected Christmas gifts to kids

Kim Kardashian landed in hot water after gifting a shocking gift to her four children.

Ingrid Newkirk, the founder of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), slammed the SKIMS founder for gifting puppies to each of her four children as a Christmas present.

"Puppies are not plushies, and it’s a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that," Ingrid told the Daily Mail on Sunday.

“Ignoring the homeless animals crisis is inexcusably callous,” stated the PETA founder, urging the reality star “to call PETA or a local shelter the next time [she] wants to bring an animal into [her] home.”

Ingrid added that the Kardashians star can “make some amends now by sending their kids to volunteer at a local shelter adopt-a-thon or at least one spay day to help stop the growing homeless puppy crisis."

Kim came under fire after posting a snap of four puppies on Instagram Stories on Christmas Day.

"Each kid got a puppy," she captioned the post.

For those unversed, Kim is a proud mother of four children, North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6, whom she welcomed with ex-partner Kanye West.
