Prince William, Kate Middleton remain 'unfazed' amid recent public backlash
Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly remained unnerved in the wake of recent backlash
Prince William and Kate Middleton are not alarmed by the recent public backlash.
Previously, a source told The Mail that the intensity of the backlash, surrounding no entry in their Forest Lodge estate, had reportedly left Prince William and Princess Kate feeling “alarmed.”
According to a fresh report from GB News, a Palace insider has pushed back on that narrative, claiming the royal couple have not been unsettled by the growing public anger and remain unfazed by the criticism caused due to the barrier surrounding their new home.
For those unfamiliar, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ Forest Lodge estate has been closed off to public access after a six-mile-long barrier was installed around the property, complete with surveillance cameras and warning signs.
The move has caused frustration among local residents, many of whom say the restrictions have disrupted their everyday routines and came without warning. Several locals claim the sudden loss of access has affected long-standing habits, particularly those who regularly walked through the area.
One resident, who has walked dogs in the forest for more than 20 years, highlighted the logistical difficulties created by the new security measures.
“They say you can use other gates, but you can’t because there’s nowhere to park,” the resident explained.
“We’ve lived here for 20 years — it’s lovely in there. We appreciate they need privacy, but it’s a real shame. We are absolutely gutted,” they told The Mail.
Another local criticised the scale of the security, calling it “excessive,” while adding resignedly, “It’s a blow, but they aren’t going to change their minds.”
