Taylor Swift's gets candid about her favourite show
Swift says her fondness for the show has even influenced her music
Taylor Swift says she still finds NBC investigative series Dateline to be her favourite show.
The Grammy-winning singer, 36, made the revelation on a December 10 episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as she shared how she unwinds when she’s not working.
Swift explained that her job requires constant creativity, so shutting her brain off is a rare luxury.
“My kind of profession is coming up with ideas for stuff,” she told Colbert. “So, if I can turn off the ideas for a second? Very exciting. I’ll put on my Dateline.”
Swift’s fondness for the show has even influenced her music.
She previously revealed that Dateline even inspired Florida!!!, a track from her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Speaking on iHeartRadio, Swift said the song was inspired by themes she noticed on the show, especially stories of people fleeing to Florida to start over after committing crimes.
She connected that idea to heartbreak, describing the desire to disappear, start over, and erase the past.
