A royal expert has disclosed Prince William’s true feelings for his cousins Princess Eugenie and Beatrice after Harry urged Eugenie to leave London amid Andrew scandal.
Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert Jennie Bond also reflected on King Charles sincere support for Eugenie and Beatrice.
Jennie Bond says, “Whatever you think of their parents, Beatrice and Eugenie have not been accused of doing anything wrong.
“They have had to watch their parents being humiliated and publicly criticised over many years, and yet they have remained close to the rest of the royal family.”
She continued, “Their Grannie, the late Queen, showed them great affection and the King also seems keen to protect them.”
About Prince William, Jennie said the Prince of Wales, who joined Eugenie and Beatrice at the lunch with Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, would have “particular sympathy” for his cousins.
“He had to endure endless publicity about his parents as he was growing up. Of course the headlines then were for very different reasons: the disintegration of his parents’ marriage. But it was still traumatic for a young boy. You have to feel for these young women.”
Jennie Bond’s remarks came days after Radar Online reported "Harry has always had a soft spot for Eugenie. She's like a little sister to him and he's very protective.
"He's determined to make sure she comes through this crisis without too many scars. Selfishly, he'd love her to relocate. He'd be thrilled to have his kids grow up with family members around."
