Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh turns up the festive charm in time for Christmas
As Patron of Disability Initiative the Duchess of Edinburgh has just come out for a bit of festive cheer
Just in time for Christmas the Duchess of Edinburgh has come forward to join the Disability Initiative, for its 50th anniversary, and in doing so has spread cheer all around.
For those unversed, the event featured a number of activities that Duchess Sophie herself took part in, from including a cookie decorating and a Christmas drumming session.
What is pertinent to mention about this charity is that it aims to empower all those children, as well as adults, living with disabilities.
The aim of the initiative is to help all such individuals with their own individual goals, via numerous services.

Her cookie decorating included making up reindeer-shaped biscuits, and according to the Chief Executive Lucy Brown, “she loved that.”
In a chat with Hello! she admitted to that “it was a really brilliant session and one of the things we did today that was really special was we were able to thank everyone for for all the support they give us – from the president and the trustees to all the volunteers that come on in on a day-to-day basis and impart their skills and expertise, so it was lovely. The Duchess met all of the volunteers and personally thanked all of them.”
