Kate Middleton, 'absolute heart' of monarchy, is at a 'defining moment'
Kate Middleton is in this ‘confident phase’ where she is able to define who she is
Princess of Wales Kate Middleton is at a defining moment—shaping her and husband Prince William’s life, a royal expert believes.
Speaking to the People magazine, royal biographer Catherine Mayer has made these remarks as Kate and William settle into a new home and a more prominent royal role.
The Princess of Wales is in this ‘confident phase’ where she is able to define who she is, what she does and how much she does.
The royal expert added the future king and queen are showcased as being not just the future of the monarchy but its “absolute heart.”
Catherine Mayer went on to say Kate looks like “our idea of a future Queen.”
Reflecting on King Charles decision to strip Andrew of his title and remove the former Duke of York from Royal Lodge, the expert says, “[That move] was as much from William, and William and Kate are not seen as separate in terms of their decision-making.”
Mayer continued “She is in this confident phase where she is able to define who she is, what she does and how much she does.
“In that sense, she’s approaching her prime."
The royal expert’s remarks came a day after William and Kate made their triumphant return to King Charles annual Christmas lunch on Tuesday, which they skipped last year amid the Princess of Wales battle with an undisclosed form of cancer.
