Princess Kate shares video of Fisherman's Friends performance at her event
The shanty group was asked to perform at the annual Christmas carol concert in Westminster Abbey
The Fisherman's Friends, who performed at Kate Middleton's Christmas Carol services recently, on Tuesday shared a video of their performance on Instagram with a statement highlighting the message of the event.
"We had the pleasure of performing at the Princess of Wales' ‘Together at Christmas' Carol Service at Westminster Abbey London , which was all about love, connection, and the bonds that unite us," the folk music group said in the caption.
The group asked fans to "Tune in 24th December at 7:25pm on ITV1 and ITVX to watch the full Carol Service."
Earlier this month, Princess Kate hosted an annual Christmas carol concert to honour guests who had mostly been invited for service to the community, joined by her husband and heir to the throne Prince William.
The event launched by the Princess of Wales offers the royal family a chance to thank people across Britain for volunteering, raising funds for charity and supporting the vulnerable.
Kate Middleton last year completed a course of preventative chemotherapy to address an unspecified form of cancer.
She gave each guest a note highlighting how a "moment of listening" and "word of comfort" can make a difference to people's lives.
The service was aimed at people of all faiths and those without faith, her Kensington Palace office said.
