King Charles’ move against Andrew fires back: ‘Monarch is in a tricky spot’

King Charles’ decision to strip his “disgraced” brother Andrew of his royal titles has reportedly fired back with insider saying the monarch is now in a “tricky spot.”

After stripping Andrew his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s titles, Charles also asked them to leave the Royal Lodge, which has now stirred a new controversy by raising questions about monarchy’s image.

According to Radar Online, Charles’ decisions, which were meant to address Andrew’s scandals and his connection to Jeffrey Epstein, have instead drawn attention to issues of privilege and accountability that the royal family has.

Speaking on the matter, a senior palace aide said, "The issue now goes way beyond Andrew," saying, "His arrangement of paying little or no rent has shone a light on the wider culture of royal privilege, and critics are circling."

Latest reports have revealed that Andrew paid only a nominal “peppercorn” rent for the multi-million-dollar property has also fueled public scrutiny.

"The king probably hoped that stripping Andrew of his titles would quiet the critics, but instead it's sparked a broader debate about entitlement, public funds, and palace culture,” said a royal analyst.

Now, they said King Charles “finds himself in a tricky spot. He aimed to show authority, but now he must navigate the optics of disciplining a relative while meeting public expectations.

“Every move is under intense scrutiny,” they added, with another one saying, "The king's ability to move decisively against his own brother has given republicans ammunition.”

“They see the weaknesses and are quick to point them out. The monarchy has never appeared more exposed."
