Meghan Markle to complicate Prince Harry’s plans for Archie, Lilibet
Prince Harry pushes to strengthen children’s connection to Britain amid Meghan Markle's concerns
Prince Harry is moving closer to securing more time for his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in the UK, however, Meghan Markle could make his plan complicated.
According to reports, the Duke of Sussex recently requested a review of the high court ruling that denied taxpayer-funded security for himself, Meghan and their children while in the UK.
If successful, the review could allow his kids to visit Britain more often and even attend school there, helping them stay connected to their British roots.
However, an insider told Radar Online that Meghan is reluctant about frequent travel between the US and the UK.
"A victory for Harry would strengthen his children's connection to their British roots, but managing life across two continents could be challenging for the family,” the source said.
They added, "Meghan does not want her children being shuttled back and forth between America and Britain, and this could break her and Harry up for good if he insists on it."
Earlier this year, Harry confessed to BBC, "I love my country," adding, "I think it's really quite sad that I won't be able to show my children my homeland."
Speaking of his review request, a government spokesperson said, "The U.K. government's protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.
“It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals' security."
