Princess Beatrice on Friday christened her younger daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose, at the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace.
Among other guests, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, Princess Beatrice's parents, were also present during the ceremony.
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton skipped the event despite being invited, sources said.
Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, were joined by a small number of close family and friends as they christened Athena before celebrating with a relaxed party at a pub.
Beatrice's close friend Princess Nina of Greece and Denmark and her husband, Prince Philippos were also present.
Nina, who has been friends with Beatrice for more than a decade, was reportedly asked to be godmother.
Princess Nina, a Swiss businesswoman and socialite, gained her title through marriage to Prince Philippos of Greece and Denmark, the youngest son of the late King Constantine II (the last King of Greece) and Queen Anne-Marie of Denmark.
Nina is related to the British royal family through extended ties. Her husband is a godson of the late Princess Diana and the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The former Greek royal family has longstanding connections to the Windsors, including shared ancestry and close friendships.
Princess Beatrice and her sister Eugenie attended Nina's 2021 wedding in Athens.
