Royal insiders have revealed King Charles true feelings for his disgraced brother Andrew after stripping his royal titles recently.
The palace announced in a statement in October, King Charles has initiated a formal process to remove the style, titles and honours of Andrew.
Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. “Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.”
There are also claims, King Charles took extreme decision about his brother as he was under pressure from son and heir to throne Prince William.
Now, the Closer, citing royal insiders has further claimed, “It’s well known that the King was extremely reticent and nervous to formally strip Andrew of his title, then boot him out. But William persisted, pointing out that his uncle’s position in the family had become utterly untenable and it was time for the family to act decisively and stop sitting on the fence.”
About Prince William, the royal insiders said, “He’s feeling vindicated with not even a tinge of regret about how everything’s unfolded. If anything, he just wishes it could have happened earlier.”
The Prince of Wales also believes Andrew is lucky to have any type of roof over his head or support from his family whatsoever after “what has transpired.”
Kate Middleton and Prince William Disappointed
Meanwhile, royal insiders have also said that Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have been left feeling disappointed after hoping the Andrew drama would quietly subdue.
The outlet, citing the royal sources, says “Kate and William were hoping things would calm down in the run up to Christmas, but the situation has exploded with this new inquiry and it’s left them feeling tense."
The sense among Andrew’s estranged relatives is that a great weight has been lifted, the insider said and or it soon will be, once the former Duke and Sarah have finally been removed from Royal Lodge and consigned to their new living quarters far away from Windsor.
