'Friends' cast unites for heartfelt Matthew Perry tribute
The American sitcom stars honor Matthew Perry with meaningful holiday tribute
Friends' cast came together to pay a touching tribute to their late costar Matthew Perry.
The hit American sitcom's cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer, all teamed for a special artwork to raise money for charity during the holiday season.
The Matthew Perry Foundation uploaded snippets of the collaboration, in which the stars can be seen signing a colourful artwork inspired by the iconic Friends theme song, made by artist Tim Wakefield with Soundwaves Art.
Signed artworks are going to be sold for $600 and unsigned ones for $100.
It is pertinent to mention that Matthew tragically passed away after a drug overdose at the age of 54 in 2023.
The foundation captioned the post on its social media, "Exciting news! The cast has teamed up with Soundwaves Art and artist Tim Wakefield for a very special collection of artwork this holiday season."
"Tim has transformed the actual soundwaves of the Friends theme song into these beautiful designs each inspired by a different character, and each cast member has autographed their own small run of artworks," the captions continued. "And in collaboration with the estate of Matthew Perry we have produced a very limited edition of artworks embossed with Matthew's official signature."
"All profits will be supporting charities chosen by the cast, including the Matthew Perry Foundation and their work helping those struggling with the disease of addiction," the statement read.
