Kate Middleton has scored what insiders are calling a major Hollywood “win,” which has left her sister-in-law Meghan Markle seething.
According to Radar Online, the Duchess of Sussex is frustrated as the Princess of Wales effortlessly builds ties with high-profile Hollywood talent.
Most recently, actor Eugene Levy visited Windsor Castle to film with Prince William for his Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler and later appeared at Kate’s Christmas carol service, where the two were seen getting along warmly.
An insider told the publication that Meghan has spent years trying to attract top-tier Hollywood names for her Netflix projects.
However, she often ends up with lower-profile guests and seeing Kate mingling with Eugene has caused her irritation.
"Kate has this natural charm that makes people instantly comfortable. She genuinely enjoys connecting with creatives, and Levy clearly clicked with her – it's no surprise he was invited to her carol service,” the source said.
They added, "Meghan is watching all this from afar and it's infuriating for her. She wants Hollywood's A-listers for her Netflix projects, but she keeps getting actors who are considered secondary-tier. Kate's successes only heighten that frustration."
Another source said that Kate is able to woo Hollywood A-listers because she “doesn't chase fame – it tends to follow her.”
"She engages with people authentically, whether they're British stars or international talent, and it opens doors naturally,” they added.
"She's always been able to turn professional meetings into genuine friendships."
As for Meghan, they said there is a “huge sense of envy on Meghan's side. She sees Kate connecting with high-profile talent in a very organic way while she has to negotiate hard to get appearances from lesser-known performers.
"It's frustrating and, frankly, humiliating for someone used to being in the spotlight."
