Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s issues intensify after royal title removal
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor struggles intensify amid police and congressional pressure
Former Prince Andrew is under investigation by London’s Metropolitan Police over claims he asked a bodyguard to get private information on Virginia Giuffre.
According to Radar Online, the inquiry focuses on a 2011 email in which the “disgraced” royal allegedly shared her date of birth and Social Security number with his officer.
The report revealed that police are looking at emails, notebooks and devices from Andrew former security team.
The investigation comes as Andrew faces ongoing scrutiny over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and pressure to cooperate with US congressional inquiries.
As a result of the ongoing controversy, King Charles also stripped his brother of royal titles and ordered him to vacate the Royal Lodge.
Meanwhile, Andrew is under pressure to testify before a US congressional panel investigating Epstein’s crimes.
"He is being strongly urged to cooperate with lawmakers,” an insider shared. “The committee believes his testimony could offer important context about the years he spent interacting with Epstein."
Another source added, "There is a sense that avoiding Congress would only deepen suspicions. Members feel he needs to explain what he knew and when he knew it."
"It could severely damage Andrew's remaining public standing, as any confirmation he misused police resources would raise profound questions about his judgment and integrity,” a third insider stated.
